New Flyer was
established in 1930 and first introduced low floor buses to
North America in 1988. While they did produce many high
floor models in 35', 40', and 60' lengths, they have now
discontinued these models and only produce low floor models at
this time. The
D40LF is New Flyer's predominant model, as many transit
agencies throughout North America operate them and many are
ordering additional units.
Two identifying
characteristics of New Flyer buses are the dual-bubble
windshield and the boxy body. The light placement on the
buses are a distinct characteristic as well. |
