• Triboro Coach Corporation is a privately run bus company based out of Astoria, NY. The NYCDOT owns the buses, while the service is run as a franchise by the operator. Triboro Coach Corp. runs local bus routes within Queens and express routes to Manhattan. Triboro's fleet consists of the GMC/TMC RTS (in diesel and CNG powertrains), MCI Classics, and Orion V CNGs. Currently, the MTA is staging a takeover of all seven privately owned bus companies in NYC (Command, Green Bus Lines, Jamaica Buses, Inc., Liberty Lines Express, New York Bus Service, Queens Surface Corp., and Triboro Coach Corp.). Liberty Lines Express is currently under full control of the MTA, and thus, all of their vehicles have been renumbered and rebadged with the "MTA Bus" logos. This is a separate entity from MTA New York City Bus, which will be absorbed into the MTA Bus Company in the future.
