• The Orion VII Hybrid Electric Demo bus was in Edmonton, Alberta from July 30 to the morning of August 2. This bus is powered by a Cummins ISB engine, and it has forty-six lead acid batteries which need replacement every two years. The ramp on this bus was extremely slow, as compared to NewFlyer buses. Its engine was quite loud for an electric bus, since it had both a diesel motor and a traction motor. The number 1043 is believed to be derived from the Toronto Transit Commission, and it was never removed.
